The Dark Sides of Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs is now remembered as a tech genius.Apple and Jobs are related to one another. Although he had unbelievable achievements from apple & pixar, he had some flaws like every human being.Today I am going to tell some of his dark secrets which may have not known to you.

1.Adoption

Paul & Clara Jobs are not his actual parents.His biological father was Syrian born Abdulfattah John Jandali & mother was Joanne Schieble.They were living in Wisconsin.Schieble's father didn't approve her relationship with Syrian born graduate.During 50's a woman having a child outside marriage was socially unacceptable.So Schieble moved to San Fransisco & met a doctor who helped unmarried mothers to adopt.

Then Clara & Paul Jobs  were also planning to adopt a child.Then they adopted the child of Schieble & named him Steven Paul.Steve Jobs met with his actual mother many years later when he became star.Though being adopted is not his fault,its definitely one of the dark sides in his life.

2.Drug Addiction & Trouble Maker

He was sent home from school 2 or 3 times for his misbehaviour.In his teenage years,his hair was very long.He didnt bath which he continued in his adult life too.He took Marijuana & LSD when he was in college.

3.Drop Out

He dropped out from Reed college just after one semister.

4.Betraying Best Friend 

Steve Wozniak,the co-founder of apple was also Steve Jobs's old pal.Wozniak was 4 years senior but they were best friends.Before starting apple, Jobs was working at Atari,an early maker of video games.

In summer of 1975 he was assigned to design a game called Breakout.Wozniak was working at Howlett-Packard in the calculator business.Design work was beyond Jobs's skill.So he recruited Wozniak to figure out & promised that he would split $700 he was being paid for the project.Then they workes together for it.Being pleased with the design Atari gave a bonus of $5000 instead of $700.But Jobs paid Wozniak only $350 he promised.

Wozniak didn't know about the bonus.10 years later a book about Atari's history disclosed about the bonus.Wozniak was truly hurt.He felt he was cheated by his best friend.

5.Misbehaviour with colleagues in Apple

He didnt give any value the work of young programmers.He regularly missed appointments,acted without thinking & didn't give credits where it was due.If he was told of new idea,he immediately declared it worthless or stupid.If the idea was good one,he talked with people about that as if it was his own.

6.Not Taking Responsibilities in Personal Life

He was successful in professional life but not in personal life.His girlfriend Chrisann Brennan was pregnant in 1977 the year later apple was founded.Brennan was certain Jobs was the father.But he denied.He paid little attention & ignored her.In 1978,when the baby girl was born,they named together the girl Lisa Nicole Brennan.But after that he didn't do anything to do with the baby.

He only occasionally provided any financial help but continued to deny he was the father.He even said he was physically unable to have children.In 1979, paternity test concluded 94% chance that he was the father.

7.Resign

In september 17,1985 he resigned apple.He also returned in 1996.During this time,he built NeXT a computer company & Pixars an animation movie studio.

8.Ignoring Charity

In 2010,Bill & Melinda Gates challenged other wealthy families to donating more than half of their wealth to the charity.Many billionaires & millionaires responded to it but Jobs was not one of them.

9.Cancer

He was diagnosed as pancreatic  cancer patient in 2003.Later it was spreaded to the liver.He died in 2011.

In addition to these,there are many other controversial stories of Steve Jobs.He was accused of stealing the ideas of Xerox company.Apple was sued by the Beatles band's company Apple Corps.Jobs had to apologize publicly for stock scandal in 2001.Having those flaws,he will always be remembered as legend.
